What is this site, anyway?

Welcome to the site! Nice to meet you, my name is Will. I also go by StrangeFlow. I’ve been contemplating the idea of building this site for awhile, and finally decided that now is as good a time as any to give it a go. SO! What is this site all about, anyhow?

This site is called theBusinessPunk for a reason. If you’re looking to “drop-out of the rat-race” (as the over-used but accurate cliche goes) this site should provide you with the tools, ideas, and resources to do so. But there’s a difference between this site and some others out there: I’m not going to tell you to create an app and sell it to Apple for a quick 10 million dollars, and I’m not going to tell you how you can “get rich quick” through affiliate marketing, or how you can build a ten million dollar business in two days. Fuck all that, let’s get back to reality and figure out something more realistic…

Although I do have formulas for success, the ideas I present will mostly like NOT make you some super-fabulous billionaire by this time next Thursday. THAT is a myth that keeps so many otherwise-rational people from acting upon the kinds of ideas in this site, because there are a lot of get-rich-quick “guru’s” out there, espousing nonsense advice that might get you excited, and might look good on paper, but doesn’t help you really get anywhere.

So, if future-billionaire-propaganda is what you’re looking for, sorry, you’ve come to the wrong place. But, If you’re seriously looking to make more money by automating your income and freeing up your time and escaping the irritation of wage slavery  so that you can live your life the way you actually want to, then this is a great website for you to utilize.

I’ve been developing passive income strategies and tools for years, and I thought it was about time to share some of them. I’ve also been told that some of my quotes and phrases are extremely motivational (so I’ll definitely include that in this site). I’m a fan of extremely aggressive / life affirming motivation.

So, no, I don’t have one golden egg that produces a trillion dollars for me; but rather, I have over a dozen income sources that produce mostly minor amounts of money that add up… I own record labels, I write books, I write music, I produce software, I do graphic design, I invest, I have a clothing company, I’m getting ready to release e-courses (on this site) and I have several other projects I like to work on. I like to experiment with wealth creation. Some people think I don’t work at all, some people think I work far too much, but I think it’s fun, and I don’t even feel like it’s work, half the time.

Sometimes, projects (I prefer to think of my money-making endeavors as projects instead of jobs) will completely fail. Sometimes, they will prosper better than I had hoped they would. That’s how experimentation goes (and some of them aren’t even designed to make money, they’re just fun to me). But I do what I love: I experiment with automated / passive income sources of all varieties, and if something works, I keep it. If it doesn’t work, I abandon it. Sometimes I’ll find that a project I abandoned a year or so ago has since built up organically and is now making me money, which is always a fun surprise! It doesn’t usually happen that way, but when it does, oooh that’s a fun feeling… Either way, if I had fun with a project, it was NOT a waste of time, even if it didn’t make me a dime. Why? Like I said, I enjoy the process, and all the projects I commit ito. Plus, I saw what worked and what didn’t.

This is basically my philosophy on making money: do whatever you want, and if it works, it works.. If not, then, alright… Try again!

This is also very counter to everything we’ve been taught in our culture – hell, not just in our culture, but in every culture I can think of. We’re all taught that we have to exchange our hours for an income, but that’s old-guard nonsense. You don’t have to do any of that. You don’t owe anyone your working hours. That’s just propaganda that goes back centuries and centuries to keep big businesses alive and rulers in power, and you don’t have to fall for it. You really don’t. I feel like that might sound like some kumbaya anarchist hippie propaganda or something, but the truth is, you can hold onto whatever politics or personal ideologies you want and I think you’ll find the everything I’m saying here is still true. You can be a democrat, a republican, an independent, an anarchist, or anything, and none of those affiliations or ideas negate anything I’m going to say on this site… (But I’ll be completely honest: once you get immersed in some of these ideas, you might start to see how old-guard and futile some of the old political regimes really are…) Though, I’ll be quick to point out, I’m not trying to convert you to any “overnight revolution,” (in fact, I hate the idea of political revolutions, because they are too often physically very dangerous, they incite dogmatism and a violent group-think/mob mentality, and any bloodshed is too much bloodshed, IMO… Especially if it’s for some bullshit Utopian-esque political platform).

Anyway, enough ranting about how this site ISN’T about politics! Ha! Hold whatever political views you want. Change if you want. Don’t change if you don’t want. It’s all up to YOU, and you alone. I just want to share tricks of the trade about a completely alternative economic paradigm (that I’ve personally tested and utilized) that is completely counter to what all of us were taught for our whole lives.

And no, I don’t think I’m jaded about any of that kind of stuff, it’s just off topic… I know they say people grow more conservative with age, but I feel like I’m in the best mental and physical shape of my life, despite the fact that I graduated high school a year before Youtube even came out. To anyone younger than me, I know, I know: I’m “an old man.” Meh. I’m not concerned. I’m happy with who I am. And although this site is about wealth creation, it’s also about feeling good about your life choices, and feeding your mind and your soul with fullfillment as well as filling your wallet (or paypal wallet, or bitcoin wallet, or dogecoin wallet, or Willcoin wallet).

Ok, maybe Willcoin isn’t actually a thing… (YET!?) But if any awesome hero reading this wants to set Willcoin up, hit me up. I’d be very intrigued, lol 😉 I’ll even make a blog specifically about YOU and how awesome you are, and how you deserve many cute puppies and a lifetime supply of macaroni and ketchup.  ((click that link if you wanna get a good distraction laugh for a couple minutes. Classic ‘Kids in the Hall’).

It’s like this: when I set up a website, I don’t clock in at 9 in the morning and answer to a boss, and ask him what kind of website to build each day. I make websites and build companies on my own terms. If I get bored or burned out on working on a site or a project for too long, or feel that as the momma bird, I’m ready to let my baby bird sore! – and then I stop working on the thing for awhile, and just let it go by itself (which it will, if properly automated).

I believe, wholeheartedly, in the phrase, “no gods, no masters.” (interesting side note, the original slogan was “no lords, no masters,” stripping it of any specific spiritual or non-spiritual ideology) and this was obviously back in a more feudal time when the rulers of the land were called lords (people who own property and rent housing now are now called landlords, and few seem to notice the obvious connection, but anywho……)

So, this slogan and what it represents is evident in a great deal of my business formulas. I am independent, debt-free, I move whenever and wherever I want (I’ve lived in about a dozen different places over the last few years) and I have created a situation for myself where I can take as much time off as I want, with little consequence.

For example, I could take the next week off, and I’d still make money.  All of my methods are able to be duplicated , and I work in the new paradigm of jobless money-making. I hear people talk about how they hate their jobs, hate their bosses, or can’t find a job – and I’ll ask them: “Well, why don’t you set up your own business?” and often, their eyes will gloss over…. But it’s not their fault. It’s how we were all taught. We were schooled into thinking we have to get a job, or else we’ll be (gasp) homeless, forever, and unloved, and pathetic, and life will suck forever and we’ll end up as degenerates and live a horrible life of drugs and alcohol and we’ll probably wind up in prison and get stabbed to death, or… something similar… And – ok, so, maybe it’s not QUITE as harsh as that, but I hope you get what I’m saying and see my point…  It’s “get a job, or be a deadbeat.”

Well, guess what?

You don’t need a fucking job, and you can still make a lot of money. Ignore anyone who says otherwise, they’re just doing what society put in their head since they were barely old enough to feed themselves… …Brainwashed might be a harsh term, but I was brainwashed for a for a long time, and I think that in a decade or two, people look back on the current time period and think, “God damn, Mom and Dad, why did you have those silly jobs you hated? Why didn’t do ____, or why did you just do _____? It would’ve worked out just as well!”

So, obviously, this is NOT a site to help you learn the in’s and out’s of setting up a good resume. I’m not saying not to have a resume if you want one, I’m saying – fuck, I have one, but I don’t plan on using it for ANYTHING specific, possibly the rest of my life.

No, this is a site to help you run your own projects and small/medium sized businesses, not build a resume (and, shit, if your projects become successful enough, feel free to expand – it’s up to you, the whole point is that it’s all up to you, and you alone). As I’ve said, my personal method is to set up lots of projects, spend a considerable amount of time with each one, and then try to send them to auto-pilot, with (possibly) a minor amount of maintenance required along the way. Passive income. I love it. I really do fucking love it….

But you have to work hard in the beginning, to get it going – that’s where SO MANY people fall off: they think they can just sign up for some website or post something on amazon and the millions role in. Nope…  But the thing is, that initital dissapointment gets rid of 90% of potential passive-income recipients, so there is actually far less competition that many people realize. Plus, half of those potential entrepreneurs are too bothered to spend much time at developing passive income. They’ll complain about how they “don’t have the time,” after their job and all their life priorities (which is hilariously ironic, considering how much time passive income can grant you!) But, their loss. I have an article I wrote about that, click the link above if you’re interested…  Point is: you can’t force someone to do something they don’t want to do, so: it’s more freedom/money for you, and more freedom/money for me!

At this point I would try to type out a big smiley face emoticon, but I’m typing this in whatever word program came with Windows 8, and typing a colon and a parenthases doesn’t do much..  Anywho, moving on…

EDIT: since I put this the website text editor, I can add whatever graphics I fucking want.. So here:

Getting paid without a job is not a fucking pipedream, it’s actually going to become quite common in the next few decades. Jobs are being actively replaced by machines (and we all know this, it’s not news) and companies are moving overseas for cheaper labor – and yes, it IS because these companies are ran by assholes with no concern for their employees: FUCK EM, THEY SCREWED OVER MILLIONS – and it just goes to show that big business isn’t something you should lay all your trust on. Trust yourself, instead – and adapt.

This is where I plan to come in. With this website, I plan to offer information on money-making projects THAT WORK (on auto-pilot) as well as providing a heaping dose of extreme motivation to get you going.

That’s the template, here.

You don’t need a boss, you don’t a salary, and you don’t need to climb any fucking corporate ladder. And you can be yourself, too. Because… Why not? People respond to honesty, and if you are representing yourself honestly, people respect you more. So I vow to be as honest as I can be with this site and the e-courses I’ll offer and the articles and tutorials I plan to set up, here. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not just a slackerpreneur ( I borrowed that term from the Tropical MBA Podcast. I hope y’all over there don’t mind) and I work hard as hell on projects until I get them going, and until I get to the next project. Sometimes three hours a day. Sometimes 15 hours a day. Sometimes zero hours for days at a time. I enjoy time off sometimes. In the end, though, it’s all about taking responsibility for your own financial future.

You can curse out the bosses and landlords and managers of the world who mistreat you (and feel free) but at the end of the day, wouldn’t it feel just as good to set up your own business and make as much money as them, and with even more free time – and to be perhaps show it off materially a LITTLE bit? (I’m skeptical and nervous of having too many material things, but come on, it’d be great to show people who dissed you to let em know how good you’re doing, right?) It’d be a huge middle finger to all your old uptight employers (assuming you have had uptight employers).

Ok, for real though, how fun would it be to walk into the Starbucks, Burger King, (wherever — insert the shitty business you worked for here) and then ask for the manager, and make it rain on them by throwing dollar bills in their direction (strip club style) to pay for your meal you just ordered? …. And then walking out, taking a bite of the sandwich, saying, “eh, maybe you should focus on new R&D on some of these things?,” as you walk out of the restaurant without a hint of disdain in your step, but a hopeful and delighted grin. Ooooh, again, that’d be a good feeling, wouldn’t it?

Here’s the thing: you don’t have to answer to anyone, you can do whatever you want, and people will actually respect you more for being yourself, as opposed to acting like a robot or a “professional” cog –  and that’s how you find your niche, and then you use that niche to make an income, and then you set it to auto-pilot, and if needed, repeat the process, and free up your time. Hell, maybe you could take up a job at a coffee house for five or ten hours a week just for the hell of it, and to meet people and have somewhere to go. If you’re financially stable, you’d have no fear WHATSOEVER of getting fired, you’d have zero-stress, and goddamn that would be a fun gig. WORKING A JOB BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, not to survive, but just for kicks (and free coffee, LOL)….

The point is, you can make the same money many of your old bosses do, but with less risk, and you can do it smarter, freer, and be more experimental with it. Not to mention, your happiness quotient will likely go through the motherfucking roof as you have more time to figure out what you really truly enjoy doing in life. I don’t just mean financially, but in every possible aspect. Ooooh – – – and travelling, too, if that’s something that interests you!

If you set up a business online, you can work anywhere! You can be a ‘digital nomad,’ …although I’ll admit, I’ve become a bit jaded towards some digital nomads online, in certain forums that I won’t name, because some of them seem ALL about some bullshit exclusivity-complex (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “FUCK THE V.I.P. ) and some of them seem paranoid to keep all their working-abroad programs hush-hush. I think that’s complete bullshit. Why? Well, I think the world should know how awesome it is to hang out on a beach in Goa while you sip local feni (a whiskey from Goa, India) as you slowly burn down chunks of a big stick of hash in a chillum and earn money passively while you do it. It’s really quite a rewarding feeling.

So be yourself, and make money by putting your personality into your projects and businesses – and watch them shine – and watch the money start to roll in! It’s extremely rewarding, and I’d love to show you how to get started and get rollin’ on it. Just get ready to work hard, mostly in the beginning stages, because that’s where it really counts.  Remember, the universe doesn’t owe you a goddamn thing. But also, you don’t owe the universe anything, either. So, take responsibility for your own situation, try to get to know yourself, and figure out what this life is TO YOU. From there, you can figure out how to realize your potential and give back to the world as the world will then happily reward you for your efforts; and you as well as everyone you’ve helped will be much happier for it! Then, you’ll have even more time to figure out what you want in life. It’s a great deal.

As I wrote in my book, “Don’t be a Peasant,” (which will be available on this site SOON) if you’re not your own king, you’re a pawn in someone else’s chess game, earning someone else money for your labor and time. And that sucks. It’s no way to live. Please don’t let this intimidate you, I’m not trying to make you feel shitty, I’m trying to motivate you into considering all of this… I’ll try to help as much as I possibly can. I’m not going to offer some bullshit $999 e-book on “How to Crack the Amazon Code,” or any other fuckinhg bullshit pre-written e-nonsense like that; I plan to offer real, insightful, and helpful information to help get you started and get you going towards your financial freedom.

So, I sincerely hope you stick around! I feel like I might be coming off as arrogant in this post, but believe me, I’m no fucking billionaire, and I honestly do want to share the “secrets” with you that they never taught you in school. Once some time passes and you see some of the content, I very much hope you’ll understand that I’m trying to provide way more value than what I’ll likely get back financially. That’s fine. I thinking helping people (and making a few bucks) will be a high better than the best MDMA you can buy off the deepweb!

Also, I don’t feel that I owe the world help, but I WANT to give the world something. The world has helped me out (and at times, fucked me over, but I try to positive about my life) and also, on the topic of giving back, I know I don’t volunteer as much as I should (although I do want to change that and help people) though I’m definitely no Mother Theresa (that weird over-religious racist) and I’m definitely no Abbie Hoffman, either (that crazy but fun and motivated psychedelic weirdo). 🙂

Don’t forget to bookmark this site to get all the latest articles and infoz offered here!

….oh and btw, that Abbie Hoffman link goes to a free online copy of Steal This Book, for anyone interested. Sure, it’s out of date, but it’s definitely a great skim. Anyway, neither here nor there, I suppose, but whatever – I’m going to link to all sorts of stuff with this blog. That’s the plan. But, for this post, I guess that’s it for now. Have a good day and an excellent week and a superb month and a fantastic year and a ultra-epic life, everyone! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Also, that link to the ‘Fuck the V.I.P.’ song was a track I made a couple years ago for a group I started / for an album I released on the record label I run, DynastyShit.com. Anywho. Just thought I’d put that info in there.

And, that’s about it!! Happy trails… (no, that’s a stupid phrase, uh… hmm.. I’m gonna try to come up with a nice phrase to end posts with… Might be a minute, I never know how to end posts with a single sentence..

Uh… so.. uh… BYE….? Yea, bye. Until next time! Smooth sailing!  ….God damn, I’ve been writing for years, and ending this shouldn’t be so hard. I’m just gonna say PEACE.

PEACE!!
